WEll !! Drain line gets clogged when algae and calcium builds up on the inner walls of the PVC line, up to the point that it stops the flow of water, and prevents the unit from draining the condensate water to the outside of the house

The unit will stop working or it will flood the home.

It may also cause the unit to starts and stops irregularly, what can cause damage to the compressor, motors and other electric parts.

To avoid. it two things need to be done:

  • Mechanically flushing the drain line by a service technician at least once a year

  • Regularly adding anti build up tablets or solutions to the drain system by the home owner
